Book Contract Contest

Bold Vision Books is thrilled to announce the book contract competition for Write Well Sell Well Conference, 2015.

You may submit any proposal for previously unpublished fiction or non-fiction.

We will choose a winner and two runners-up.

The winner will receive

  • A contract to publish the novel or nonfiction book with Bold Vision Books
  • A collection of writing resources from Bold Vision Books

The two runners up will each receive

  • A collection of writing resources from Bold Vision Books


All federal, state, local, and municipal laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited.


This contest is sponsored by Bold Vision Books, located at PO Box 2011, Friendswood, Texas 77549.


Any individual registered for the Write Well Sell Well Conference is eligible to enter the contest.

The work is ineligible for entry in the contest if the work has been published in any form (including self-publishing outlets and internet sites).

The contest is open to all ages. If the winner is too young to sign a legally enforceable book contract, parental permission will be required.

Employees of Bold Vision Books are not eligible.

The contest is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.


Entering the contest constitutes full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of the contest Official Rules, including the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.


The contest begins on September 1, 2015 at 12:01 am and ends on October 10, 2015 at 11:59 pm CDT. Entries submitted before or after the contest period will be disqualified. Entries will be received during the contest period using only the method described in the “how to enter” section below.


The only method for entry is as follows:

  • Complete the contest submission form for BVB.
  • Send the submission form and the proposal as pdf attachments to your email. Do not place the form or the proposal in the body of the email. Attachments must be in pdf format.
  • Use the BVB guidelines for nonfiction and fiction book proposals which are available on the website
  • Send the proposal with the submission form to the following email address:

  • Submit within the time period of the contest dates noted above. 


The contract issued to the winner of this contest will include publishing by Bold Vision Books via a BVB standard royalty-paying contract. Contract details are confidential between Bold Vision Books and the contest winner. Publishing is contingent on 1) winner providing a timely finished acceptable manuscript and 2) edits as deemed appropriate by the publishing company. 

In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Contest is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, bug, worm, unauthorized human intervention or other technical problem, or in the event the Contest is unable to run as planned for any other reason, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either (a) suspend the Contest to address the impairment and then resume the Contest in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules or (b) terminate the Contest. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to damage the website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages (including attorneys fees) and any other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and the Write Well Sell Well Organization and Conference and any associated companies against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of the prize including any technical errors, loss, interruptions, servers, connections or failed equipment or human intervention.

Except where prohibited, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action. 


Information collected from entrants is subject to sponsors’ privacy policy.
